Bus Charter Service is available for small groups. We are equiped to accommodate up to 17 passengers and offer point of entry pick-up and drop-off service.
OUR DRIVERS: Only fully licensed drivers with clean records are hired to drive our vehicles. These drivers must complete additional training and pass a medical exam before being licensed to operate a Motor Carrier Vehicle in the Province of B.C. Driving record background checks are conducted and kept on file for all of our drivers.
REGULATIONS / SAFETY: Northwest Recreation / Haida Gwaii Discovery Tours has spent considerable time and energy ensuring its compliance with ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) Requirements and Provincial Motor Carrier Regulations. Not all companies and individuals who operate on these Islands comply with these requirements. These requirements protect your safety and our industry. If you are paying for transport, or a service that includes your transport, to areas around the Islands, your operator is required to be licensed by the Motor Carrier Authority. An approved operator will display a valid Motor Carrier Plate alongside their front license plate and be happy to discuss any safety issues or concerns you might have.
PAYMENT: Payment for charter service must be received in full 60 days prior to anticipated use of service unless other arrangements are made. Payment may be made by VISA, MasterCard or cheque. Please ensure adequate time for processing. Cheques should be made payable to Northwest Recreation / Haida Gwaii Discovery Tours. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00/day is needed to confirm bookings. No refunds are given for service terminated with less than 60 days notice.
SERVICE LIMITATIONS: Use of service is limited to the roadways and interior transit passages of Haida Gwaii / Queen Charlotte Islands.
