RESERVATIONS: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a $1,000.00 creditable deposit per person. Balance of payment due 60 days prior to departure.
PAYMENT: We accept VISA, MasterCard and personal cheques. Cheques should be made payable to Northwest Recreation / Haida Gwaii Discovery Tours . Please allow proper time for processing.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Any cancellation is regrettable, but a significant portion of our expenses are committed long before departure. In the event that you must cancel your booking, our policy is to credit your payment towards a future tour with us. A $250.00 administration fee will be charged for all cancellations.

Northwest Recreation / Haida Gwaii Discovery Tours offers a unique opportunity to participate in a 6-day 5-night Discovery Tour of Haida Gwaii / the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Similar to tours offered in the past by Natural History Societies these tours are based out of comfortable accommodations in the Villages of Masset and Queen Charlotte and involve daylong excursions to areas of interest around the Islands exploring the natural, cultural and settlement history of the Islands. Experienced local guides in conjunction with expert local guest speakers allow visitors to learn about this unique area and leave with a broader understanding of the conditions that make this a truly special place.
Visitors can expect to see Sandhill Cranes, Black-Tailed Deer, Bald Eagles, Grey Whales, and an abundance of migratory and local bird species. All major stops and points of interest are covered during your visit, including many lesser known local areas.

TOUR DETAILS
AIRFARE: Pacific Coastal Airlines provides direct service to Masset from Vancouver's convenient South Terminal. Pacific Coastal's planes are fully equipped with washrooms.Travel time is 2 hours.
ACCOMMODATION: Upon arrival in Masset you will be met and transported by your guide to your accommodation at Engelhard's Oceanview Lodge. Engelhard's Oceanview Lodge is located along Masset Inlet and offers large spacious rooms and a common breakfast area overlooking the Inlet.
While exploring the southern half of the Islands accommodation is provided at Premier Creek Lodge in the Village of Queen Charlotte. Premier Creek Lodge is the Islands oldest hotel and has clean and comfortable rooms in this heritage property overlooking Skidegate Inlet.


GUIDES: While on the Islands you will be accompanied daily by a local guide to the different areas and attractions that the Islands offer. Guest Speakers are used whenever possible to give visitors contact with a diverse range of local opinions and areas of expertise.
